For the past three and a half decades, Hillcrest has served the Town of Richmond Hill and surrounding areas with premium fashion and lifestyle offerings. Our strong commitment to the community and our charitable efforts over the years have impacted our town and made a difference in many peoples lives. With periodic renovations since its inception, Hillcrest has kept abreast of change, offering a fresh new look and new retailers over the years, but always maintaining an air of quality and service, and a sense of pride within the community.
On August 8th, 1974, Cadillac Fairview posted an advertisement about Hillcrest’s opening in the Toronto Star. The following is an excerpt from the ad: “Every effort has been made to introduce an ideal atmosphere for enjoyable shopping. In fact, with the abundance of plants and the ample natural lighting, via skylights, it will resemble a refreshing walk in the countryside, surely a place to refresh the eye and the mind. Hillcrest Mall…for the world today…your way”.
